The AdventHealth Lake Apopka Scenic Trail event takes place on February 15, 2026, at Magnolia Park, 2929 S. Binion Road, Apopka, FL 32703. Distances offered:
- 30K (about 18.6 miles)
- 8 Mile
- 5K
- Virtual Trail Run - Walk - Bike (anywhere)
The minimum age to enter the 30K is 16. There is no minimum age for the 8 Mile or 5K. A portion of each entry fee benefits Friends of the Green Mountain Scenic Byway (FGMSB).
Courses, support and logistics
The 30K route follows the Lake Apopka Loop Trail and is mostly hard-packed limestone with areas of grass, dirt, gravel, packed lime rock or clay. The 8 Mile and 5K are out-and-back courses on the Lake Apopka North Shore trail; the 8 Mile reaches the historic pump house. The event is cupless; participants must carry their own hydration. Hydration and refueling stations are located at mile 3, mile 7.3, mile 11.7, mile 14.7, and mile 17.1 on the 30K, and the 8 Mile passes stations approximately every 2 miles. Roving medical personnel will travel the course. The course closes at 12:45 pm; 30K participants must be able to maintain a 17:45 minute per mile pace or faster to meet this cutoff.
All participants receive a long-sleeved mesh technical shirt and a finisher medal. Post-race food is provided. Awards are given to top overall finishers, masters, and in five-year age groups.
