About the race
Lake Mead Marathon is a mass-participation running event held in Boulder City, Nevada inside Lake Mead National Recreation Area. The course offers four distances: marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K, starting at Boulder Beach and following the paved River Mountain Loop Trail. Runners enjoy scenic desert views with the backdrop of the United States’ largest man-made lake.
The race features a USATF-sanctioned, accurately measured course with clearly marked routes, reliable results, and a welcoming post-race experience including snacks, a race shirt, a finisher medal, and overall and age-group awards.
