Event information
The 14th Annual LCEC 5K takes place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Jim Jeffers Park, 2817 SW 3rd Ln, Cape Coral, FL 33991. The event includes both a live and a virtual 5K, a kids 1/2 mile fun run for ages 12 and under, and a Tot Trot for children 4 and under. The kids run follows the 5K and the Tot Trot follows the kids run. The race is hosted by LCEC to benefit United Way.
Registration, logistics and awards
Live and virtual 5K registration fees vary by date: $30 through Nov. 2, $35 through Dec. 31, and $40 from Jan. 1 through race day. Kids 1/2 Mile registration is $15 through Jan. 2 and $20 on race day. The Tot Trot has no charge for tots 4 and under. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled for Jan. 2, 2026, at The Run Shoppe, 1407 Cape Coral Pkwy E, Cape Coral, FL 33904; race day packet pickup and on-site registration are also available. Race timing is provided by Beach Bum Timing. Awards are given for overall male and female winners, masters and grand masters by age brackets, plus age-group top three finishers for standard age categories. Since its inception, the LCEC 5K has netted over $42,000 for United Way.
