LCSO K9 5K Run/Walk
The LCSO K9 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Spring Creek Sports Center, 181 Clubhouse Way, Zion Crossroads / Gordonsville, VA 22942. The event is hosted by the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office and the LCSO Foundation. Proceeds benefit the LCSO K-9 Unit, the LCSO Foundation, and other LCSO community services.

The 5K is described as a rolling course with a downhill finish. The event includes a live K-9 demonstration and an awards ceremony, and Spring Creek provides the venue. Packet pickup is available Friday, April 24 at the LCSO office (1 Woolfolk Ave, Suite 101, Louisa, VA 23093) and on race day at Spring Creek Sports Center. The posted entry fees are $30 for the 5K and $15 for the kids run; registration opens February 26, 2026 for the 5K and February 27, 2026 for the kids run. Dogs are allowed under guidelines: leashed (maximum 6 foot lead, no retractable leashes), current on rabies vaccination, cleaned up after, and not permitted in the clubhouse. Organizers may remove aggressive or ill dogs and owners assume responsibility for their pets. Local businesses may sponsor or donate items or services.
