Event overview
The Lost Trail 5K & Half Marathon takes place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Granite Beach, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. The event is organized by TBF Racing. Distances offered:
- Lost Trail Half Marathon: 13.1 miles
- Lost Trail 5K: 3.1 miles
Awards include Overall Champion Awards for first place male and female in the half marathon and age-group awards three deep in each ten-year age division for both the half marathon and the 5K. For 5K entries, athletes under 19 are split into two age groups: 14 and under, and 15-19.
Course and logistics
The courses are described as well-marked and offering lake views with wildflowers between well-stocked aid stations. Aid stations are located at miles 2.2, 4.2, 6.2, 10.0 and 11.5. Listening devices such as MP3 players and headphones are allowed; runners are required to exercise caution when crossing roads and to pay attention on trails. Packets will be available at the race site from 6:30 am to 8:00 am on race day. Entry fees vary by date: 5K fees are $40 / $50 / $55 and half marathon fees are $60 / $65 / $70 (early / after 11/1 / race day). TBF Racing has a no-refund policy; refunds requested prior to race week are issued as race credit minus a $25 processing fee. Transfers to other TBF events are allowed with a $25 fee within one year.
