The event is presented by the Fayette County School Nutrition Association, a non-profit organization. The race states that 100% of proceeds and donations will support student and employee scholarship programs. Registration opens January 1, 2026. Listed entry fees are $25 for the 5K, $15 for the Kids Dash, and $30 for the Virtual Runner/Walker; volunteer registration is free.
The course is described as an out and back on paved and concrete trail surfaces with very little elevation change. There are two hydration stations at Mile 1.4 and Mile 1.9 and a common start/finish location on the east end of the Coldstream Dog Park area. Race features include commemorative unisex shirts, free race photos, awards for top 3 male and female overall and top 3 male and female in listed 5-year age groups (0-14, 15-19, 20-24 ... 75-79, 80+), a Best Dressed Lunch Lady contest, and a packet pickup on the morning of the race from 7:15 to 8:45am at Coldstream Park.
