Million Lights 5k Run : event overview

The Million Lights 5k Run takes place on December 20, 2025, in Phoenix, AZ. The event offers participants the option to run or walk a course that passes along Chandler Boulevard in Ahwatukee and features a display of over a million lights. The race is chip timed and includes a separate Kid's Fun Run.

Location, logistics and beneficiary

The event is based at Desert Foothills Park, 1010 E Marketplace Way, Phoenix, AZ 85048. On-course support includes a water and peppermint station. At the finish area, participants receive hot chocolate, holiday cookies and other chocolate treats, and each participant receives a commemorative finisher mug. The event benefits the Foothills Community Association. In 2025 the Foothills Community Association HOA will be managing the holiday lights display along Chandler Boulevard for the fifth year.
