About the race
The Mountaineer 5K is a community running event held in Chandler, Arizona, organized by the Summit Academy Parent Teacher Organization. The 5-kilometer race welcomes runners, walkers, and strollers, promoting health and fitness awareness while benefiting Summit Academy Mountaineers. The course starts at Summit Academy Junior High School, includes a loop around the track, and follows the canal before finishing back at the school track.
Participants receive a finisher's medal, a t-shirt (if registered by the deadline), and enjoy water stations along the route. The event features chip timing with real-time results, age group awards crafted by local students, and a post-race festival with food and drinks.
