Yonah Mountain Vertical Challenge

Website

The Yonah Mountain Vertical Challenge is a demanding trail race held at Yonah Mountain Trailhead in Georgia, featuring steep, technical terrain with sections of scrambling. Participants can choose from a 25K race with 5,000 feet of climbing over three summits or a 50K race with 10,000 feet of climbing over six summits. New for 2026, a 2-person relay option is available for the 50K.

The event spans two days to reduce trail congestion, with aid stations at the trailhead and near summits. The race offers a challenging mix of runnable and rugged trail sections, culminating in an after-party at a nearby brewery. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
