The MV Winter Classic 20 Miler is a challenging road race held on Martha's Vineyard, featuring a mostly flat, USATF-certified course that spans 20 miles through three island towns. Starting at Vineyard Haven Harbor, runners pass iconic sites like Oak Bluffs' Gingerbread Cottages, a barrier beach road between Nantucket Sound and Sengekontacket Pond, Edgartown’s farming areas, and finish with a trek through Manuel F. Correllus State Forest.
The event welcomes competitive athletes and recreational runners alike, offering a relay option for those preferring a 2x10 mile team race. Participants enjoy mile markers, nine water stations, and post-race refreshments, medals, and shirts amid the scenic New England winter atmosphere.
