Niwot's Challenge
Niwot's Challenge is a demanding ultramarathon held in Colorado's Front Range, inspired by the Barkley Marathons. This grassroots event, limited to 40 participants, emphasizes navigation skills as runners traverse mostly off-trail terrain using only a map and compass. The challenge includes various loops, with the ultimate goal of achieving "Deity" status by completing multiple loops in reverse order.
Participants must be experienced in ultra or adventure racing, as the event is not suited for beginners. The event fosters a unique community spirit, with a focus on personal accountability and adventure rather than competition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
