No Bull Around is a timed ultrarunning event held April 24-26, 2026 at Willow Creek State Recreation Area near Pierce, Nebraska. The event offers five timed formats: 48-hour, 24-hour, 12-hour, 6-hour, and 3-hour. Registration opens November 1, 2025. The event is set at the Willow Creek Reservoir recreation area and uses park facilities managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
Course, camping, services, and rules
The main loop follows a limestone hike/bike trail that is 1.75 miles out and back, equal to 3.5 miles per lap. The start location is the Warren G. Otto Picnic area and the route heads toward the Pierce main trail. Willow Creek SRA camping options include Electric Plus, Electric, Basic, Equestrian Electric Plus, and Equestrian Basic sites. Willow Way Campground has 165 electric sites plus basic sites, picnic tables, fire rings/grills, drinking water, modern restrooms, showers, laundry, and a dump and fill station; half the campsites take reservations and the rest are first-come, first-served with self-registration at iron ranger stations.
Awards are custom plaques for top male and female in each category and distance-specific medals and buckles for threshold distances. Pacer rules vary by event length; pacers are allowed for longer events after specified hours and are not allowed for the 6-hour and 3-hour events. Aid and food services include a staffed aid area with snacks, hot meals with vegan/vegetarian options, beverages, Tailwind sports drink, and an unmanned halfway aid station.
