Course, amenities and awards
The course starts on a grassy polo field and continues on soft, winding trails in Bethpage State Park with a few small hills and mostly flat terrain. Parking is at the Bethpage State Park Playground; directions note driving down Picnic Polo Road and passing the toll booth, with the parking lot to the left and a walk up to the polo field. Race amenities include informal bag check, portable bathrooms within a few minutes walk, hydration at the finish, and post-race refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants aged 21 and over may receive a complimentary beer with ID. Participants earn a "good luck" shirt.
