Course, rules and onsite services
The main OCR course is listed as 4.3 miles with 23+ obstacles and a 140-foot finisher rig. Terrain features noted include mud holes, light swamps, muddy streams, rolling pine forest, and fields with occasional cow patties. The 50-yard timed Ninja run is a head-to-head format with placement based on times and requires full completion for final placement. Elite competitors must show 100% obstacle completion to be eligible for championship points; elite podium prize amounts are tiered based on field size. The open wave has no penalties for failed obstacles and no burpee or penalty requirements. A timing strap issued at packet pickup must be worn on the ankle and returned at the finish. There are three water stations on the OCR course and two water stops on the 5-mile trail. Onsite amenities include a water hose shower station, food vendor service, and beer and wine for participants aged 21 and over. Parking is listed as cash only. Volunteer shifts are four-hour blocks; volunteers may race at a reduced fee or allocate a donation option. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
