Race details and logistics
The OCR course includes mud holes, light swamps, muddy streams, rolling pine forest sections, and signature obstacles. There are three water stations on the OCR course located at heavy carry obstacles. Athletes receive a custom bib and a timing strap that must be worn on the ankle and returned at the finish. Elite competitors must achieve 100% obstacle completion to be eligible for championship points and podium prizes; wristbands are used to track completion. Rules for the low rigs require that feet cannot touch the ground, though trusses may be used during transitions. There are no penalties for failing obstacles in open waves and no burpees or penalty laps. Race swag is given at the finish, on-site showers (hose station) are available, and a local food vendor will offer BBQ plus beer and wine for those 21 and older. Parking is $10 cash only; an administrative/insurance fee of $9.56 applies. Volunteer shifts are four-hour blocks with an option to convert service into a donation to a group.
