Course, rules and facilities
The obstacle course includes a monster finishers rig of about 140 feet, mud holes, light swamps, muddy streams, rolling pine forest sections, and field areas that may contain cow patties. There are three water stations located at heavy carry obstacles. Athletes receive a custom bib and an ankle timing strap that must be worn during the race and returned after finishing. Elite competitors must complete 100% of obstacles to be eligible for Florida Championship Series points and podium prizes; wristbands are used to verify completion. Low rig rules require that feet do not touch the ground, though trusses may be used during transitions. There are no penalties for failing obstacles in open waves and no burpee penalties. Race swag (shirts and medals) is available at the finish. On-site amenities include a hose shower station and local food and beverage vendors; alcohol service is limited to those 21 and older. Volunteer positions are available; volunteers may receive a reduced race fee or a donation option for a group or charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
