Course, rules and on-site facilities
The OCR course includes 23+ obstacles and a finishers rig listed at 140 feet. Terrain features include mud holes, light swamps, muddy streams, rolling pine forest, and fields with animal droppings noted. There are three water stations located at heavy-carry obstacles. The 50-yard Ninja run is timed with a head-to-head final for top finishers in a two-lane format.
Elite competitors must achieve 100% obstacle completion with a wristband to earn championship points and be eligible for elite podium prizes; athletes may attempt obstacles multiple times before relinquishing the band. Open waves have no penalties for failed obstacles; volunteers assist on course. Podium prize amounts vary by elite field size. Race swag is distributed at the finish. On-site amenities include a hose shower area, food vendor service, and beer and wine for those over 21. Parking requires a $10 cash fee. Volunteer participants may receive a reduced race fee or a donation option for a group or charity after service. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
