Event overview
The 5K Wolf Run and Walk takes place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Okemos High School, 2800 Jolly Rd, Okemos, MI 48864. The event program includes multiple race options:
- Mascot Trot - 5K
- Mile Run - 1 mile
- Kids Sprint (open to ages 6 and under)
- Roll and Stroll
All participants who register by August 11, 2026, are guaranteed an event t-shirt and a participation medal. Mascot Trot 5K finishers receive official timekeeping. Proceeds from the event will go toward mascot appearances, upkeep, and swag.
Logistics and awards
The Mascot Trot 5K and Roll and Stroll route will start at the second entrance of the Okemos High School stadium. Admission into the stadium is free. Parking is available in the Okemos High School large parking lot; the smaller lot next to the stadium will be blocked off.
The Mascot Trot awards include a $25 gift certificate for the overall male and female winners and $10 Playmakers gift certificates for top finishers in the following age groups: 10 and under; 11-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over. The event will feature the debut of a new Okemos Wolf mascot and appearances by several challenger mascots. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
