About the race
The Oktoberfest 5-Miler presented by Altra is an annual running event held in Columbia, Maryland, organized by Charm City Run Events. The race features a 5-mile course that starts at Charm City Run Columbia and loops around scenic Lake Elkhorn, crossing wooden bridges and showcasing autumn foliage. Participants enjoy a festive atmosphere with a costume contest offering a prize of Altra shoes, on-course aid stations, and a unique finisher medal and long-sleeve shirt.
After the race, a lively post-race party takes place at local venues like Black Flag Brewing Co. or Lost Ark Distilling Co., featuring complimentary drinks and snacks. Proceeds support Bridges to Housing Stability, a local homelessness prevention charity.
