Old Fort Strong Endurance Festival
The Old Fort Strong Endurance Festival, held in Old Fort, North Carolina, is a trail running and mountain biking event featuring 3, 6, and 12-hour races. Set on the trails around Camp Grier and the Gateway Trail System, the festival offers separate loops for runners (about 3.5 miles) and mountain bikers (about 8 miles) with a shared start/finish area. The event fosters a lively festival atmosphere with vendors, live music, and guest speakers from the trail running and mountain biking communities.
Participants also fundraise to support the Old Fort Strong Fund, aiding local residents and businesses affected by Hurricane Helene. The race is limited to 500 participants and includes swag, awards, and a raffle benefiting the fund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
