Olympic Mountains Trail Races
The Olympic Mountains Trail Races, held in the Olympic National Forest near Quilcene, Washington, offer challenging trail running events over two days in August. Distances include a 100K ultra with 14,200 feet of elevation gain on mostly single-track trails, a demanding 50K featuring 8,600 feet of climbing, and a tough 25K course with nearly 4,000 feet of elevation gain. A new 25K Ruck division requires participants to carry 20-30 lbs.
The courses showcase stunning mountain views, including the Buckhorn Wilderness and Mount Zion. The event features well-stocked aid stations, camping at race headquarters, prize money, and a supportive community atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
