Course, safety and facilities

All courses start and finish at Tom McCall Upper Elementary School and use back roads through local wine country. The 20.26K and 10K share the first three miles, split, then rejoin for the final 1.5 miles. The 5K is an out-and-back using the last 1.5 miles of the 10K. The kids run is one lap around the school track. The roads are not closed to traffic; participants are asked to run or walk against traffic (keep left) and follow marshals and police.

Aid stations supply water, Gatorade, Gu packets and snacks at set mile markers for the 20.26K and 10K. The race is chip timed and results will be posted on the ORRC website. On-site pancake feed and an in-person raffle are part of the event. Strollers are permitted, dogs are not, and the use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged.

Registration, awards and other policies

Registration is online only with dynamic bib assignment at packet pick-up; day-of registration is via credit card only. Family pricing is available for up to two adults and three children (immediate family). Custom Fitsoks will be provided (custom socks for early finishers noted); there are no finisher medals this year.

Awards include plaques for overall male, female and non-binary winners in open and masters (40+) divisions across the listed events, ribbons for top five in standard 5-year age groups, and a Red Caboose award for the last finisher. The event offers a Pay It Forward fund for discounted or free entries and a shoe-recycling option for community outreach. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
