OUTLAST New Orleans : event overview
OUTLAST New Orleans is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Fontainebleau State Park (62883 LA-1089, Mandeville, LA 70448). The event offers two formats: a day 6 Hour Challenge and a 6 Hour Challenge Night Edition. The day event is listed as full; the night edition currently shows an entry price. OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance format in which runners complete a 5K every hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to continue; missing a lap eliminates the runner from further rounds. Course, logistics and awards
Courses are trail-based with natural terrain such as dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation; some sections may include pavement or gravel. Packet pickup is scheduled before each event. Aid at the basecamp/loop start will include water, basic hydration, and snacks; the event is cupless, so runners are expected to bring their own bottle or hydration system. Individual 5K laps are timed; combined times for all six laps determine local results and national leaderboard placement. Awards and items include an OUTLAST tee and sticker for participants, a bronze leather patch for 4 laps, a silver leather patch for 5 laps, and a wooden OUTLAST medal for 6 laps. Top male and female combined-time winners at each event are entered on the national leaderboard; the fastest overall across OUTLAST events is named National Champion with a listed $1,000 prize.
