About the race
The Pecan Grove Turkey Trot is held in Richmond, Texas at 1890 FM 359 Rd on Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2025. This 10th annual event offers three races: a 5K Trot-4-Adoption (competitive and non‑competitive, with chipped bibs), a 1‑mile Kids Timed Trot (12 and under, chipped bib), and a 1‑mile Adoption Awareness Walk (no bib). The atmosphere includes a Kids Zone with inflatables, a DJ, and vendor/sponsor rows with food and drinks, plus prizes for top finishers.
Proceeds support The Thankful Ones’ Adoptive Family Grant, aiding local foster children and adoptive families in the Greater Fort Bend County and Houston area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
