Event overview
The Phil Phest 5k is scheduled for March 28, 2026, at 98 Fortier Lane, Harahan, Louisiana. The event is the 4th annual edition and benefits the Running For Dreams Foundation; all race proceeds go to the foundation. Registration includes a chip-timed race, a numbered bib, a custom unisex event t-shirt, and a finisher medal. The t-shirt is not guaranteed for race day registrants.

- 5k - out-and-back, 3.1 miles
- Kids K - for ages 0-8; all participants receive a finisher medal
Logistics and awards
Packet pick-up is scheduled for the day before the race, Friday, March 27, at LA Pharmacy (838 S Clearview Pkwy, Jefferson, LA). Race day activities include the Kids K and the 5K run/walk, a post-race festival with live music and food in the parking lot of St. Rita's Catholic Church, and an awards ceremony during the post-race festivities. Food and drinks are provided by named vendors including Inland Seafood, Bubbalicious BBQ, Southern Eagle, and Coca-Cola. Live music will be provided by Refried Confuzion.
Awards will be given overall (top male and top female) and to the top two male and female finishers in each age group: under 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Custom awards are donated by EKG Creations. Registration fees vary by registration period. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
