Pup-A-Go 5k Hike/Run : Phoenix, AZ
Pup-A-Go is a community 5K event at Papago Park West Butte Trailhead in Phoenix, AZ. The event is produced by GhostHead Productions in partnership with Home Fur Good. A portion of registration fees will be donated to Home Fur Good, a no-kill animal shelter. Registration closes in early December (listed as Fri, Dec 5). The event includes separate opportunities for runners and for participants with dogs; the solo 5K option is offered alongside the dog-friendly 5K.

Course, rules and logistics
The 5K course is one counterclockwise loop around Papago Park and is marked at critical junctions. Dogs must be vaccinated, leashed at all times, and participants are asked to pick up after their pets; doggie poop bags will be provided at the start. An aid station at the start will offer cold water, hydration mix, snacks and bananas; no other aid stations are on course, so participants are advised to carry additional hydration. Free parking is available across the street at 625 N Galvin Pkwy, a short walk to the start. Porta potties will be available at the start. The event takes place rain or shine and the organizer states there are no refunds for cancellations. Race entrants receive a sticker, a doggie bandana and a commemorative t-shirt.
