PVSchools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk
The PVSchools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk is the annual community run scheduled for January 31, 2026 at Horizon High School Football Field in Scottsdale, AZ (5601 E Greenway Rd, 85254). This is the 16th year of the event. Entry fee is $10, with free entry for ages 0-10. Registration opens November 3, 2025. T-shirts will be provided on race day to registered participants in sizes S to XXL and a limited number of youth sizes; participants must attend the event to receive a t-shirt. No refunds will be issued. A small online registration fee is charged by the registration platform.
Course, timing, awards and event features
The course leaves the Horizon HS football field south at the back gate, heads east on Nisbet Rd to Greenway Rd, continues down 64th St to Acoma, returns via 56th St to Nisbet and finishes back on the field. Two aid stations are on course: one on 64th St just south of Greenway, and one at the elementary school on Acoma near 60th Street. The event is chip-timed by Race Timers and results will be posted on PVUSD's website. Water and healthy snacks are available before and after the run.
Event activities include registration/check-in, a health fair, a kids dash for ages 10 and under, a group stretch, and an awards ceremony. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each age division: 8-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Spectators are welcome; pets are not allowed on the premises. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
