Race the Cog

Race the Cog is a unique running event held in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, on June 28, 2025. Participants race along the historic Mount Washington Cog Railway tracks to the summit of Mount Washington, covering approximately 2.75 miles and climbing 3,500 feet. The course features rugged terrain, including dirt, gravel, and large boulder fields, with extreme weather conditions ranging from warm temperatures at the base to snow and high winds at the top.

Runners can choose between a summit climb or a roundtrip race, with the latter including a descent back down the mountain.
