Course, aid and logistics
Trails at Redmond Watershed Preserve are described as well-groomed, mostly wide and smooth, with gently rolling hills, forests with thick ferns, and low to moderate climb with few steep parts. The half marathon uses a 6.55-mile loop run twice. There are two aid stations on the half marathon course; 5-mile runners do not have an on-course aid station but will have food and hydration at the finish. Aid station supplies include water, an electrolyte drink (Gnarly Hydrate), gels, and one or two carbohydrate-rich or salty foods such as candy or chips.
Parking is limited; offsite parking is provided at Bear Creek Park & Ride about four miles from the start with shuttle service to the event. Carpools of three or more may park at the Redmond Watershed parking lot while space is available. Pets are not allowed in the preserve. Horseback riders may be present and have the right-of-way on trails. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
