Event details

The Rigby Lake Turkey Trot takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Rigby, ID (490 N 4000 E, ZIP 83442). The event is a free, untimed community run with no official results. Entry is by donation: one can of food for The Giving Cupboard or one pair of running shoes to be donated to Sneakers for Good, which will also benefit The Giving Cupboard. Organizers ask participants to register in advance; registration for the 5k closes on November 27, 2025, and registration for the kids run closes on November 26, 2025.

Course and logistics

Start and finish are at the West Pavilion at Rigby Lake (Jefferson County Lake), with staging in the West Parking Lot. The 5k course follows the walking path for 2.7 laps. A water station is located roughly every mile along the route. Dogs are allowed if leashed at all times. Organizers advise dressing warmly, as temperatures are expected to be cool.
