Event information
The 2025 Rudolph’s Race takes place on December 20 and is organized by Bishops Events. The event offers two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5k
Both races run along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal path in Georgetown, with separate start/finish locations: the half marathon begins and ends near the Potomac Boat Club, and the 5k begins and ends at Fletcher’s Boathouse. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, Endurance, Back of the Pack Series, and the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available. Walkers and strollers are permitted.
Course, services and logistics
The half marathon is an out-and-back on a light gravel dirt road with minimal elevation change. The 5k is an out-and-back on a light gravel flat trail with no major elevation gains. Water stations: seven along the half marathon at approximately miles 1.55, 3.8, 4.3, 6.55, 8.8, 9.3 and 11.55; one on the 5k at approximately mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for entries completed before December 10; extra shirts are available after that on a first-come, first-served basis. Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving about 90 minutes before race check-in. There is no on-site race registration. Live results will be posted and final results with series points will be published after the event. Awards are given to top finishers overall and by age group. Parking is available near each start location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
