Run for a New Day

Run for a New Day is a charity 5K in Galveston, Texas, with a Virtual 5K option, on September 13, 2025. The race starts and finishes at Galveston Island Brewing (8423 Stewart Rd). The scenic, Gulf‑view route goes west on Stewart Rd, south on 85th, then west along the Seawall, with a water stop at the turnaround.

It is chip-timed and raises funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and mental health initiatives. Participants receive a commemorative pint glass and a T‑shirt; 21+ runners get two beers after the race. Post-race party at the brewery, free online photos, and strollers/dogs are welcome.
