Run for Heroes 5K

Run For Heroes 5K - A Bridges Event is set for Sunday, November 2, 2025, at The Village Green in downtown Summit, NJ. Participants can run or walk a USATF-certified 5K course through Summit, with a Kids Fun Run option for younger participants. The morning includes a live DJ, on-site volunteers, and post-race refreshments, with awards for top fundraisers and top finishers.

Every 5K entrant receives a race bib and event t-shirt; Kids Fun Run participants receive a medal. Proceeds support Bridges’ efforts to end veteran homelessness in Essex and Union counties, through community programs and partnerships with Bringing Veterans Home.
