About the race
Run for the House - Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Houston 5K and Kids 1K is held in Houston, TX at Sam Houston Park. The event features a USATF-certified 5K run/walk/roll plus a 1K untimed option for kids and for older participants. The atmosphere suits competitive runners, casual walkers, families, and even dogs (though dogs aren’t allowed in the park).
Finishers receive a medal, T-shirt, and sponsor swag. All proceeds support RMHC Greater Houston, with up to $50,000 in matching funds from the Trafigura Foundation. A new Kids 1K option is highlighted this year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
