About the race
The Run The Path 10k RRCA Illinois Championship Event takes place in McNabb, Illinois, starting and finishing at Putnam County Junior High School. This chip-timed 10k features an out-and-back course on paved county roads, offering scenic views of countryside where runners may spot deer and eagles. The route includes a mix of hills and flat sections, with water stations and volunteer support at mile markers and intersections.
The course is USATF certified and open to strollers and walkers, though headphones are not allowed. Post-race food and beverages are provided, and pre-registered participants receive a race sweatshirt. Awards are given for overall and age group categories, with special RRCA championship medals.
