Run the Runway 5K
Run the Runway 5K takes place on April 25, 2026 at Cape May Airport in Rio Grande, New Jersey. The event includes a 5K run and a 1-mile walk. Both events start and finish behind the Cape May Brewing Co. tasting room at 1240 Hornet Rd. Registration opens January 1, 2026 at 10:08 am EST. Online registration remains available on race day until 8:55 am.

Entry fees listed are $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 1M walk. Packet pickup is available the day before at Cape May Brewing Co. (details to be determined) and on race day. Someone else may pick up a packet on a participant's behalf. Free parking is available near the start/finish area.
Awards for the 5K are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and in age groups: 10U, 11-14, 15-19, then 10-year age groups up to 70+. Strollers are allowed; pets are not permitted. The Delaware River and Bay Authority will close the runway for one hour for this event, which sets the time window for completing either distance. Complimentary beer for participants 21+ and non-alcoholic beverages are provided at the finish area.
