Logistics and race details
The 5-mile course starts and ends in Crystal Lake Park, beginning on the main road by the large pavilion, with an initial loop through the park, then routes outside the park along Church St., N. Orchard St., N. Coler Ave., N. Country Club Rd., and Broadway Ave., before reentering the park and finishing near the Boat House. The 5K does two loops of the park and finishes near the Boat House. Free parking is available at the Fairgrounds off N. Coler Ave, a short walk to the start staging area.
Registration is open with tiered entry fees for in-person or virtual entries. Packet pickup is available at Body nā Sole Sports (1317 N Dunlap Ave, Savoy, Illinois) on October 2 and 3, and on race morning in the large pavilion at Crystal Lake Park. Participants select an estimated finish time and are assigned a wave letter (A-F) printed on the bib; bib placement determines start corral. Strollers are allowed in the 5K only and must start in the walker corral. There are two hydration stations, race shirts (Bella + Canvas) in adult and youth sizes, a commemorative back bib for remembering someone, finisher medals, and post-race food and drink. Awards are given to overall top three male and female finishers and three-deep age-group awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
