Course and support
The course has 3,726 feet of vertical gain and runs through Pomfret and Barnard on hilly dirt roads. Weather at this time of year can include wind, rain, mud, and snow. There is an 8 hour cutoff for the race.
Aid support includes two fully stocked aid stations located at roughly miles 12 and 23, plus an additional water stop at about mile 6. Awards and items: the top male and female receive Runamuck hardware; the top three finishers receive hoodies. The oldest male and female and the last place finisher also receive Runamuck hoodies.
