Event overview
The Runamuck 50K is held in South Pomfret, Vermont, with starts and finishes at Saskadena Six. The course covers 3,726 vertical feet and passes through Pomfret and Barnard. Weather on race day can include wind, rain, mud and snow. There is an 8-hour cutoff for finishers.
Course and support
The route includes about 27 miles of hilly dirt roads and about 4 miles of pavement. There are two fully stocked aid stations located at roughly mile 12 and mile 23, plus an additional water stop near mile 6. Awards include hardware for the top male and top female, hoodies for the top three finishers, and hoodies for the oldest male and female and the last-place male and female finisher.
