Course, logistics and background
Packet pickup is available the day before at Woodstock Elementary School. Race-day registration and event hospitality are held at the school. Live music and refreshments are provided before and after the event. Pets are not allowed at the Turkey Trot.
The course runs through the historic Village of Woodstock, toward Billings Farm, around Mountain Avenue, and returns to the Town Green, finishing at the start line. Suggested parking locations include:
- Mill Building, Maxham Meadow Way
- Billings Farm and Museum, Old River Road
- Woodstock Recreation Center, River Street
- Village street parking on Elm, Central and Pleasant Streets
The Turkey Trot was established in 2007 as a fundraiser for Zack’s Place. Participation grew from about 200 people at inception to over 1,600 participants in 2024, with proceeds dedicated to operational costs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
