Shore2Shore in East Islip, NY is a point-to-point trail race offering the following distances:
- 50K
- 25K
The race uses the Suffolk County Long Island Greenbelt Trail. The 50K course runs from Sunken Meadow on the north shore to a finish at Heckscher State Park. The course is primarily on maintained trail but does occasionally run on roads and cross streets. Course markings will be in place. Registration closes Wed, Apr 15 at 11:59 PM ET.
Course support and logistics
Fully stocked aid stations will be available and will include Hyle Hydration and Huma gels plus sandwiches, snacks, sodas, candy, and fruit. Crew information for each aid station will be provided later. Parking is at the finish area in Heckscher Park. Bus transport to the start line is available for ticket holders; drop-off at the start line is also permitted. There will be a check-in at the start line before the race.
As part of registration, each entrant must provide two hours of trail or volunteer time between signup and Apr 1, or alternatively donate $20 to the Long Island Greenbelt Trail.
