Shreve Island Dawg Dash

Shreve Island Dawg Dash is a community, dog-friendly running event in Shreveport, Louisiana. It features four events: Bulldog 5K and Bulldog & Furry Friend 5K, Little Pup 1-Mile, and Let Sleeping Dogs Lie (sleep-in donation). The 5K courses start and end at Shreve Island Elementary School’s front parking lot, winding flatly through the neighborhood with a single U-turn; hydration stations are placed each mile and the race is timed.

Medals go to the top male/female finishers in each age category, with an extra prize for the overall fastest male and female. Proceeds benefit Shreve Island Elementary PTA. Post-race includes light breakfast, pet education, and activities; dogs must be leashed and vaccinated. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
