Smoky Mountain Relay
Smoky Mountain Relay is a scenic, wild team adventure in Western North Carolina. The 200+ mile course begins at the Pisgah Ranger Station just outside Brevard in Pisgah National Forest and winds through rugged mountain terrain with 36 legs and 36 transition areas. Teams of 6, 9, or 12 divide the course, racing for more than 30 hours on a permitted, marked route equipped with traffic signs, runner direction signs, and trail markings.
The event offers medical staff, personalized race bibs, finisher shirts, medals, coffee at the start, and a finish-line party with live music and a post-race beer. Limited to 60 teams, it features sponsor-supported experiences and a memorable, supportive atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
