Squak Mountain Trail Run
Squak Mountain Trail Run is held in Squak Mountain State Park near Issaquah, Washington, just a short drive from Seattle, with a wilderness-solitude feel and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. Runners can choose from 12K, Half Marathon, and 50K, with the 50K consisting of two loops. Elevation gains are 1,800 ft for 12K, 3,400 ft for the Half, and 8,300 ft for the 50K, on rugged, steep forest trails featuring mossy trees, ferns, and babbling streams.
The course is a three-loop network with intersections, so studying the map is advised. It is cupless, with aid stations and on-course nutrition; finishes earn handmade coasters. The event supports environmental stewardship and is part of the Vert Running Series.
