Event
The St. James Vineyard Turkey Trot is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2025. It is an untimed fun run of 5k open to participants ages 1 to 99. Registration prices list $30 for general entry and $25 for ages 1-20; the price increases after October 17, 2025. The event does not offer age group awards.
Registration includes a long sleeve T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a turkey-wine themed finisher medal, a race bib, and one wine pour. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal and bib but does not include the wine glass or wine pour. Free race photos will be available for download after the event. The charity partner for the event is the Nikolas Ritschel Foundation.
Location and logistics
The race site is listed as St. James Vineyard Cottage at 19506 Co Rd 1000, St. James, MO 65559. The post-race wine pour address is 540 State Rte B, St. James, MO 65559; the drink ticket is valid at the brew house about 1 mile from the vineyard. An interactive course map is provided by the organizers.
The event is rain or shine; in the case of severe weather or lightning the start may be delayed. Packet pickup is on race day only and opens one hour before the event. Walking is allowed. Dogs may run with participants but are not allowed inside the winery building. Strollers are permitted but not recommended due to uneven ground; children in strollers may participate for free and do not need to register.
