The Sweet Home Milwaukee 5K takes place on May 3, 2026, at Veterans Park, 1010 Lincoln Memorial Drive, Milwaukee, WI. The event is the 13th annual Sweet Home Milwaukee at the Lakefront. The course is a 5k (about 3.1 miles) walk/run along the lakefront and is chip-timed. Organizers list local Milwaukee businesses among the producers and sponsors. Strollers are allowed on course; pups are not allowed on the course but may cheer at the finish area. Free parking is available in Veterans Park and along Lagoon Drive and Lincoln Memorial Drive.
Registration and logistics
There are multiple registration options: general 5k, kid’s 5k (for under 10 years old), and a virtual 5k. General registration includes a long-sleeved shirt (choice of long or short sleeve), finisher’s medal with magnet and bottle-opener, race bib, chip timing, a Bloody Mary at Brunch It Up, a dish of Fred’s Frozen Custard on race day, and a donation to the Hunger Task Force. Kid entries are untimed, do not include a shirt, and include a finisher’s medal, race bib, and frozen custard; registration is not required for children age 5 and under. Virtual registrants receive mailed packets beginning May 4. Packet pick-up is offered the day before and on race day.
