Texas State Sprint Triathlon
The Texas State Sprint Triathlon, held in San Marcos, Texas, is one of Central Texas's oldest and most classic triathlons, organized by the Texas State Triathlon Club since 1997. The event takes place at the Meadows Center (formerly Aquarena Springs), known for offering the "Best Swim in Texas" in the clear waters of Clear Lake, a rare opportunity outside of research diving. The sprint triathlon features a 400-meter swim, a 12-mile (19K) bike ride, and a 5K run.
The bike course is designed to be fast and fun, while the run promises an epic and scenic experience. The race welcomes all levels, from beginners to pros and para-athletes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
