The race starts at the intersection of Quincy and Dakota Streets in Hancock and finishes on the Houghton Pier, offering a unique course that includes running over the Portage Lake Lift Bridge on closed streets. This event honors the memory of Thatcher Markham and supports local youth sports and first responders.
Participants enjoy a festive atmosphere with T-shirts, professional chip timing, age group awards, and the chance to join the Bridgefest parade festivities. It is also part of the 2025 Run the U.P. Challenge series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
