2025 The Capital Turkey Trot 5k & 10k
The event takes place on November 27 at Rock Creek Park, 5220 16th St NW, Washington, DC. It offers the following distances:

- 10k
Points from these races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available. The race benefits Warriors Ethos. Registered runners receive a finisher’s medal, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before November 10; extras are first-come, first-served after that date.
Registration fees are listed as:
- 5k: $30 until November 15 (then $35)
- 10k: $45 until November 15 (then $50) Prices increase by $5 on race morning. There is no on-site race registration. Packet pickup is available at the event; organizers recommend arriving one hour before the race to check in.
Course, results, and race services
The course is paved and mostly flat with one considerable hill. The 5k is an out-and-back route. The 10k consists of two laps. Water stations for the 10k are located at approximately mile markers 0.6, 2.5, 3.1, 3.7, and 5.6; the 5k has stations near mile markers 0.6 and 2.5. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located across from the Tennis Center.
Live results will be posted during the race and final results with series points will be posted on the Monday following the event. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall, and first and second place male and female in age groups: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. Parking is available at Rock Creek Park Tennis Center (GPS: 38.954573, -77.039066).
