About the race
The McNeese Cowboy Club 5k Gallop & Kids 1K Round Up Fun Run takes place on the McNeese State University campus in Lake Charles, LA, at the McNeese Alumni Center, Robert Noland Pavilion. The event offers a 5K Run/Walk, a Kids 1K Roundup, and a Virtual 5K Run/Walk. The in-person course is a flat, fast loop that winds through the university’s athletics campus and main campus, providing a collegiate backdrop for runners.
Now in its 10th year, the 2025 event occurs on Saturday, October 11, and proceeds support the McNeese Track and Field/XC programs.
