Event details
The Wild Turkey is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Beals Point, 9704 Auburn Folsom Rd, Granite Bay, CA 95746. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K trail race
- 10K trail race
- 1K free kids fun run
The event benefits Folsom's Hope. Race entry fees listed on the organizer site show $41.28 (including fees) for the 5K and 10K, with a reduced price of $27.50 for ages 1-13. The kids 1K is free; a race T-shirt may be available for purchase.
Course and race-day services
Both races take place on trails around Folsom Lake. Due to levee construction the 2025 course has a revised route; the 5K remains the stroller-friendly option but now includes a stretch of doubletrack trail that is bumpier. Strollers are allowed on the 5K and dogs on leashes are invited.
There will be one aid station on course. 5K runners pass the aid station once; 10K runners pass it twice. This is a cupless race, so participants must provide their own cup or bottle. Packet pick up and same-day registration are available on race morning at the start area. Parking at the site is $12 or free with a Poppy pass. Volunteers are being recruited for tasks such as bib distribution, aid station setup, course marking, and post-race service.
