The Thoroughbred Trot 5K & Fun Run takes place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, in Midway, KY. The event is organized by Northside Elementary School PTO and benefits the school. Course and logistics
The start and finish are at Walter Bradley Park, 399 Dudley Street, near the small dog park down from Northside Elementary School. The 5K runs on Dudley Street, Brand Street and East Stephens in a long out-and-back configuration on paved roadway. Elevation change is 135 feet; there are two water stops and no restrooms or portables along the course. The Versailles Police Department will provide traffic safety support but vehicles may be present.
Packet pickup is held race day from 12:30 to 2:00pm at the pavilion at Walter Bradley Park; there is no advanced day packet pickup. The Fastest Kid races are for Northside Elementary students (K-5); each grade has a race and winners compete for overall Fastest Kid, and all Fastest Kid participants receive a participation medal. Awards for the 5K include top 3 male and female overall plus first place male and female in 14 age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
